"Ilana’s weekly classes were more than I hoped for – I originally signed up because I wanted to learn more about the rules of Shabbat, but the way Ilana conveyed the knowledge made me stay for the whole yearly cycle. In the classes we were provided with a comprehensive overview of the Halacha which was always complemented with practical tips how to implement the laws into our everyday life. I greatly appreciated the way the classes encompassed all the areas of Jewish life – from everyday rituals, kashrut, family life, synagogue services and prayers to all the Jewish holidays. It was very important for me that the classes were taught from the orthodox point of view since I intend to undergo a conversion with an orthodox rabbinate.
For the most part I participated in the online classes, but for the days I wasn’t available to join live, I appreciated that the classes are being recorded and afterwards uploaded together with a list of Hebrew terms used in each class (and their translation). I also find it super useful that Ilana provided us with a list of potential Beit Din questions to each of the discussed topics – it was a great motivation for me to see that with each class I’m becoming more confident in my knowledge.
I get to build every day on the foundations I was provided in Ilana’s classes and I couldn’t be more grateful for that."

"I absolutely love Ilana’s classes. It is so easy to learn with her. She is so knowledgable and has so much information to share. She is also a great teacher, she knows how to explain and breakdown each topic to it’s core. Aside from all that, she is so sweet, has a lot of patience and has been and continues to be one of my biggest inspirations throughout my journey to Judaism"
