The Torah tells us to keep the Shabbat holy and sanctify the 7th day.


In Jewish observance we do that by sanctifying the wine on Shabbat in a ceremony that is called "Kiddush". The Kiddush is biblical on Friday evening and rabbinical on Saturday.


For the Kiddush we use a special cup set (cup and little tray)


Jewish men AND women are obligated to participate in a Kiddush ceremony.
